An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.
Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
