The obvious and straightforward reality that Christ in biblical accounts calls for a form of extreme compassion centered on the poor has consistently rendered Christianity somewhat of a scandalous religion: appealing to the populace, but owing to its inherent radicalness demanding to be restrained. During the 1950s it was controlled through watering down – The Protestant faith was so prevalent that it practically blessed current circumstances.
A Battle for the Best Within Us
