The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead targeted ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I acknowledge that."
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
